Surrey Hills Cottage

This scheme consists of three key elements; the original cottage, linked barn and an attached pool building. Our clients approached us to carry out a series of sensitive interventions that would enhance the architectural appeal of the site holistically whilst remaining sympathetic to the existing building and surrounding area.

Located within the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the proposed works needed to contribute towards the dwelling sitting within the natural topography of the site rather than standing out against it. Natural materials are used both internally and externally to complement the existing historic architecture, of which strong features have been retained and enhanced as a celebration of the site's rich history.
